The old oak trees that surrounds the mansion have hugh arthritic branches outwardly extending every which way and the spanish moss that drapes from their limbs down to the ground with little tenticles epitomizes the southern charm.

Towards evening a thunderstorm came in to cool the air and also kepted us inside. I had set the alarm for 2:45 am and when I got up I went outside and walked around with my camera hoping to catch something.

I thought there would be other people out doing the same thing but regretably there wasn’t and I couldn’t talk to my wife in joining me so I was by myself.

I had walked around the mansion taking pictures and after about 20 minutes I heard a loud screech from the back by the gazebo area. A sound I had never heard before which made the hairs on my back stand up. It sounded like a womans’ deathly cry and when I heard it again 5 minutes later that sent me back to my room. The skeptic in me thinks it was probably an owl screech although I never heard one before.

That night we stayed in the Camelia room which is one of the units attached to the restaraunt building. We had only booked one night and wanted to stay another. It turns out the room we had was booked for the next night but were able to get the room next door, which is the Azalea room.

The next night I went out the same time but this time my wife Patty decided to join me plus another individual name Rodney was also out to do some investigating. He had mentioned that during the day he got a photo of a figure looking out from one of the upstairs window when suppossidly the room was vacant.

This night I had taken about 30 pictures and was able to capture three exposures that might be orbs.
1. Standing between the mansion and the caretakers cabin where I had taking photos of the little worn road in front of the cabin, there is a definite pretty bright orb in the shape of a small circle. Definite

2. An orb in the shape of a short slash in the photo of the walkway infront of the mansion facing north. Possibly

3 A photo of the area between the gift shop and the main house from the patio, looks like two faint orbs in the upper part of the photo. Possibly.

4 A similiar shot of the area between gift shop and main house- as you look between the buildings from the patio and zoom in on a tree on the outer side of the buildings- in the folage area when I zoomed all the way I notice a figure of a face looking at me. This could be my imagination doing tricks so I’m not saying that the face is legitt. When I upload the pics on to the computer I may know better. For now…Possibly

All in all we had a wonderful stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the surroundings were very peaceful. The restaraunt is a little pricey, but well worth it.

We plan on coming back again.
